These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Primal Physique app and coaching services, operated by John Boon, trading as Primal Physique (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
Primal Physique provides fitness coaching, training programming, nutrition guidance, and progress tracking through a mobile application, across three tiers: Base Plan — free access with one AI-generated training programme, basic logging, and community access; additional programmes are available for a one-off fee. Accelerator — a paid monthly subscription providing personalised training and nutrition programming with ongoing support features. Precision Coaching — a paid monthly subscription providing full one-to-one coaching, including weekly check-ins and ongoing adjustments from a human coach. Features available to you depend on your subscription tier.
Primal Physique is a fitness coaching service, not a medical service. Nothing in the app or provided by your coach constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You must complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) before beginning any training programme. If your responses indicate a potential health risk, you will be advised to seek medical clearance before continuing, and your account will be held pending this. You are responsible for consulting a doctor before beginning any exercise or nutrition programme, particularly if you have any pre-existing health conditions, are pregnant, or are uncertain about your fitness to exercise. Any AI-generated content (physique scans, body fat estimates, generated training programmes, check-in analysis) is provided for informational and motivational purposes and should not be treated as medical or professional diagnostic advice. AI-generated body fat percentage estimates in particular are approximations based on visual analysis and may not be clinically accurate. You participate in any training or nutrition programme at your own risk. We are not liable for injury, illness, or harm resulting from your participation, except where caused by our negligence.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account; keep your login details secure; and be 18 or older to use this service. Accounts may be created by you directly, or by your coach on your behalf (in which case you’ll be provided a temporary password to change on first login).
Paid tiers (Accelerator, Precision Coaching) are billed monthly through the Apple App Store, using your Apple ID payment method. Precision Coaching requires a minimum 12-week commitment. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or by contacting your coach; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. One-off purchases (for example, additional Base Plan programmes) are non-refundable once the content has been delivered. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice.
You agree not to share your account with others; post abusive, harassing, or inappropriate content in Community or Chat; upload content you don't have the right to share; attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems; or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on this platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including removing content and blocking users from Community features.
You retain ownership of content you submit (progress photos, posts, messages). By submitting content, you grant us a licence to store, process, and display it as necessary to provide the service (for example, showing your progress photos back to you and displaying your Community posts to other users). Progress photos and health data are never used for marketing or shared publicly without your explicit separate consent.
Several features use artificial intelligence to generate content, including physique scan analysis and body fat estimates; AI-generated training programmes (Base Plan tier); AI-drafted check-in responses (reviewed and sent by your coach, not sent automatically); and food identification from voice or photo logging. AI-generated content is a tool to support your coaching experience, not a replacement for professional judgment. Where your coach provides a response (even if AI-assisted in drafting), that response reflects your coach’s review and approval before being sent to you.
You may request deletion of your account at any time via Settings or by contacting your coach. Your coach may deactivate (pause, reversible) or permanently delete your account, including in cases of Terms violations. Permanent deletion is irreversible. Your personal data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy; content visible to other users (for example, Community posts) will be anonymised rather than deleted, to preserve the integrity of conversations involving other users.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Primal Physique is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, to the extent such limitation is not permitted by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
